18 October 2026

MAP Radio held a Listener Panel Workshop on 18 October 2026, bringing together participants to share their experiences, provide feedback on MAP Radio programmes, and discuss the types of information that are most useful in their daily lives.

During the workshop, participants identified several MAP Radio programmes as particularly valuable, including Labour Rights, Update News, Dhamma, Happy Family, and general knowledge programmes, such as 21st Century Youth and Knowledge.

As migrant workers living and working in Thailand, participants highlighted the importance of accessing accurate information about labour rights and labour laws. They explained that understanding their rights and relevant regulations helps them become more aware of their entitlements and the issues that may affect their working lives.

Participants also shared that the Dhamma programme provides them with an opportunity to calm their minds, ease their worries, and find emotional comfort amid the challenges of everyday life. Meanwhile, programmes such as Happy Family and 21st Century Youth and Knowledge were appreciated for providing social knowledge and practical information relevant to their families and daily experiences.

The feedback highlighted that migrant workers need more than news and information about laws and regulations. They also value programmes that support their well-being, strengthen family relationships, and help them better understand society.

The workshop provided MAP Radio with valuable insights into listeners’ information needs and highlighted the role that accessible, relevant, and multilingual media can play in migrant communities. The feedback will help guide future programme development and improvements to MAP Radio’s content.

MAP Radio appreciates the time and contributions of all participants. Their experiences and suggestions will help MAP Radio continue to provide useful information and programmes that support migrant workers and their families in Thailand.
