The Thai Government announced an extension of the Section 64 border pass and all registration status expiring at the end of March 31 to stay until June 30 without penalty. Officially, the border crossing is closed. However, there are reports of people still crossing the 2nd bridge. Otherwise they would be stranded at the border. Some have left for the New Year, others had families call them back out of fear of the virus.

The labor complaint mechanism Koh Roh 7 is now online in Thai. Ministry of Labor has an app in Burmese…but it is difficult to use on a phone.
Social Security not available to migrants registered under Sec 64, which is the temporary border pass that many factories are requiring workers to register under instead of real visas.
