National Level
Action Network for Migrants (ANM)
Action Network for Migrants is a network of 15 NGOs working with Burmese, Laotian and Cambodian migrants to promote safe migration and fair work.
Northern Labour Network
A group of NGOs working in northern part of Thailand comes together in order that workers in informal sectors acquire and deepen understanding on labour rights, occupational health and safety, and social welfare system. The network also advocates for the protection for workers in informal sectors and appropriate policy development.
The PHAMIT Project
MAP is also a partner in PHAMIT (the Prevention of HIV/AIDS Among Migrant Worekers In Thailand), a joint project of government and non-government agencies supported by the Global Fund to Fight HIV/AIDS, Malaria and TB.
Tsunami Action Group (TAG)
In response to the tsunami, MAP joined forces with Grassroots HRE, Human Rights Education Institute of Burma (HREIB) to form TAG. The final report of TAG is available at "Our publications"
Regional Level
APWLD
MAP is on the "Labour and Migration Task Force" of Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development (APWLD).
CARAM Asia
MAP is a member of CARAM -Asia working to improve the well-being of migrants in and from Asia, with particular attention to migrants' vulnerability to HIV/AIDS. CARAM is a member of the Seven Sisters, a coalition of seven networks in the Asia-Pacific working on HIV/AIDS.
Mekhong Migration Network (MMN)
MAP is a member of the Mekong Migration Network (MMN) which has produced two resource books on migration in the Mekong region. The first focused on the needs and responses of migrants in the Mekong sub-region and the second on the quality of life of migrants. The network is currently researching the arrest, detention, deportation, return and re-integration of migrants in the Mekong sub-region.
