Statement on International Migrant Day

On this International Migrants Day 2014 (December 18), MAP Foundation is jointly organizing, along with 7 community-based organizations, a Conference in Chiang Mai on the access to social security for migrant workers in Thailand. Over 160 migrant workers from different sectors are participating to the event. Here is a copy of the statement (and recommendations) that have been presented today to Chiang Mai's Governor, Suriya Prasartbundit (available in English, Thai, Shan and Burmese).

Today MAP is launching its report "On Universal Access to Sexual and Reproductive Rights,: Thailand,"

which evaluates Thailand's policies and issues surrounding migrant women's SRHR. MAP is also holding a consultation in Bangkok today with NGO, Government, and UN representatives to discuss concerns and recommendations raised in the report. Read the full report here!
