MAP Foundation Job Vacancy Position:Field Officer (FO)
We are currently looking for a field officer based in Chiang Mai for the project of STAR ( Stop TB& Aids through RTTR) supported by Global Fund under Community Health and Empowerment Program to improve migrant’s access to health promotion and prevention and care, through community mobilization, education, advocacy and referrals including HIV/AIDS, and TB.

Women Exchange Program: May 2015
In May, MAP’s Women’s Exchange Program and the Foundation for Education and Development organized exchanges in Suratthani, Ranong and Phang-nga Provinces,with support from a grant by FJS.

Statement in four languages for MAP Radio 11 Years Anniversary

MAP Foundation, a migrant rights organization based in Chiang Mai with an office in Mae Sot, Tak Province, was established in 1996 and registered in 2002 under the Thai name มูลนิธิเพื่อสุขภาพและการเรียนรู้ของแรงงานกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ or “Foundation for the Health and Knowledge of Ethnic Migrant Labour.” MAP’s mission is to empower the migrant community from Burma to receive their full rights under Thai law.

This second installment of MAP Foundation’s “Regular Rights” action research series, done with support from CCFD - Terre Solidaire, once again compares migrant workers’ documentation status and the impact that status has on the quality of migrants’ living and working conditions. This edition looks at the costs and benefits of obtaining a Temporary Passport through the Nationality Verification system as compared to the MOU process, and at the ability to access and benefit from Social Security compared to the Migrant Health Insurance scheme.

Statement on International Migrant Day
On this International Migrants Day 2014 (December 18), MAP Foundation is jointly organizing, along with 7 community-based organizations, a Conference in Chiang Mai on the access to social security for migrant workers in Thailand. Over 160 migrant workers from different sectors are participating to the event.
